FAQs
GENERAL
-
Efficiency. Our workouts are designed to help you maximise the afterburn effect. We start each class with 12 minutes of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to help you burn a lot of calories during the workout. Then we follow it up with a whole body reformer workout, which helps you sculpt strong and lean muscles. Plus, while improving your core stability, we take full advantage of the afterburn, so your body continues to burn calories even after your workout is over!
By keeping the workouts varied and challenging, we make sure that your body never gets too comfortable, which can prevent you from hitting a results plateau. So not only will you enjoy your workout but you will be energised in the experience.
-
Definitely! We layer each exercise offering advancements and modifications to suit all fitness levels. We welcome beginners to all of our classes! Make sure to tell your Instructor it's your first time, so they can introduce to the reformer and help you with any needed modifications throughout class.
-
So glad you're getting back at it! But don't worry, we try to make our HIIT sequences as easy to follow as possible. We have them displayed on screen at the front of class while our certified Instructors move around the room offering options to ensure you get the most you can out of each exercise! Our studio is a open and inclusive space, so you can work at your pace and progress when you feel confident and comfortable.
-
If it’s your first class, arrive 10 minutes early so you can meet your Instructor and update them on how your body is feeling that day, and any injuries you may be working with. Most of all get an introduction to the reformer and how to use it. This is essential for you to take part in the class safely.
If you’re a regular? We ask that you arrive 5 mins early to store your things and put on your socks. All classes start on time! So please remember if you are more than 5 minutes late, you may not be allowed into class. This is at the discretion of the Instructor who is taking the class.
-
We know life is unpredictable and of course, things do pop up, but please note that if you arrive more than 5 minutes late you may not be allowed to enter the class. This is for your safety and to ensure the best experience for everyone in the class and will be at the discretion of the Instructor leading the class.
-
A water bottle, sweat towel and a grip socks! Grip socks are required for every class you attend. This is for your safety and for the cleanliness of our equipment. If you do not have grip socks, or just forget yours, we have a large range available for purchase at our studios. So you will always be covered!
PRE & POSTNATAL
-
You're welcome to attend any of our classes. Our classes can be modified for those who are pregnant, as long as you’ve been cleared to exercise by your GP. Please update your trainer on how you’re feeling and how many weeks you are before each and every class.
We do recommend if it is your first time, you might find our Strength or Stretch classes as great options to start. If you have any more questions, feel free to email us at hello@hiitpilatesstudio.com and we would be more than happy to answer any queries you may have.

OUR CLASSES
-
At HIIT Pilates we understand everyone’s schedule is different and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to fit your workout into your day, so we make all classes suitable for beginners to advanced.
-
Regular training reaps the best results, and we know back-to-back days might work for your schedule so we alternate our cardio (SWEAT) days and resistance (STRENGTH) days to allow muscle groups to rest while your body keeps moving! On SYNERGY Saturdays we put your strength and endurance through the ultimate challenge.
-
We know there’s nothing worse than seeing your reformer neighbour’s foot wave past your face while in feet-in-straps, so we keep our reformer stations safely distanced 1.5 metres apart. Our Rosebery studio has 12 workout stations, and our St Leonards studio 14, so our trainers can focus on each individual and ensure maximum results.
-
You can book classes online up to 30 days in advance. Drop-ins are subject to availability. We strongly recommend booking in advance so you don’t miss out. All payments are made online.
-
We recommend 4 classes per week, with 3 classes per week at a minimum if you’re after visible results. But, it’s important to listen to your body and take a day or two to recover if your muscles are very sore.
